ESTA-O is excited to announce an upcoming Volleyball Tournament, and we’d love to see as many of you there as possible!

This tournament is more than just a game; it’s a chance for us to come together, meet new people, support one another, and just have fun outside of our usual routines. Whether you’re playing, cheering, or just coming to enjoy the atmosphere, we hope you’ll join us for a great time.

ELEMENTARY OCCASIONAL TEACHER

LONG-TERM ASSIGNMENT

Candidates with FSL qualifications, experience, or willingness to teach FSL will be considered for this position. Candidates with FSL qualifications and/or experience will be given preference.


Daily Rate of Pay:  $292.63-$618.32 per day, as outlined in the ETFO - OT Collective Agreement; prorated based on FTE accordingly.

Required Qualifications:

  • Applicants must be in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers or have their transitional certificate from the Ontario College of Teachers
  • Must hold the required divisional qualifications, as noted above, to be eligible for this position;
  • Demonstrated experience in the assigned duties of a teacher as outlined in Regulation 298: Operation of Schools 
  • Proven ability to maintain discipline in the classroom (classroom management);
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively in a team environment;
  • Experience working with G-Suite (Gmail, Google Classroom, Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.) products;
Note – a Criminal Reference Check is part of the requirement process.

Hello Teachers,

We are delighted to be hosting an in-person interviewing event in downtown Toronto on the weekend of February 21–22.
We will be joined by three Executive Headteachers who will be interviewing in-person interviewing event. Over 40 schools will be represented, with candidates being shortlisted on the day.

Upcoming Employer Visits at Heritage Place

 Hello Education students,

A quick reminder about two upcoming employer visits at Heritage Place focused on future employment opportunities in education.

Tomorrow (Wednesday), 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Toronto District School Board will be on site to meet with students and discuss pathways into teaching and education-related roles.

Thursday, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
York Region District School Board will also be at Heritage Place, available to speak with students about future employment opportunities.

Both visits are informal and open-format—come by with questions, learn about hiring timelines, and start building early connections.
