Education Program Assistant. Experience preferred.
This is a contract position beginning August 17, 2015 and concluding on June 2, 2017 with the possibility of contract extension.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree or diploma is required; Bachelor of Fine Arts an asset, Bachelor of Education an asset, visual arts specialist an asset
- Combined education, experience and skills for education program development
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite and Social Media
- Familiar with current standards for not-for-profit organizations and charitable organizations, including art schools and galleries
- Working knowledge of a volunteer-supported organization
- Must have valid driver’s licence and access to vehicle

The successful candidate will need to provide proof of current:
- First Aid, CPR/AED training
- WHMIS training
- Negative police records check and search of the pardoned sex offender database
And will demonstrate and/or gain an understanding of the safe handling of art materials.
Rate of pay will be commensurate with education and experience.
