Coat Drive for International Students
It's time to dig deep into your closets and your hearts to help us make winter a little warmer for those in need. LUSU and International is asking for your help and donations for gently used or new winter coats, mitts, gloves, toques, and sweaters.
Your donations will help both international and domestic students in need, experience all the winter Orillia has to offer . . . without the frostbite.
Donations can be dropped off at the LUSU office or the International Office during regular business hours. If you have any questions please contact either Jessica Kearney vporillia@lusu.ca or Katie Fraser at kfraser@lakeheadu.ca
Thank you for your donations and help to ensure our students are equipped for the winter season ahead.

Gifted Outreach Conference - Volunteers Wanted
Hello everyone. We are ready to recruit workshop leaders for the Gifted Outreach Conference. This gathering of over 200 hundred gifted students from the Simcoe County District School Board is an annual partnership between the board and Lakehead University's Faculty of Education.
We are looking for teacher candidates who are interested in expanding their knowledge of planning learning activities for gifted children.
As a participant, you will attend four planning sessions (three in January and one in February) in order to create a workshop with a partner, to be delivered during the conference on Friday May 4th at the University Avenue campus in Orillia.
This year's theme is based on Star Wars: "May the 4th Be With You."
If you are interested in being involved in this special project, please complete a survey by following this link: https://goo.gl/forms/ uYBLgLHaKzVS7wi32
If you have any questions about the conference, please contact Elizabeth Thomas at sethoma1@lakeheadu.ca. Elizabeth and Denise Calvert will be the faculty liaisons for the conference.
Thank you,
Frances
