Emergency Elementary Instructors

The York Region District School Board has an opportunity available for a limited number of Emergency Elementary Instructors, who are available immediately (starting Monday, September 28, 2020) for the 2020-2021 school year.
 
For your information, the current daily rate of pay for an Emergency Elementary Instructor is $128.89 plus 4% vacation pay.

Important Note: This opportunity is classified as an “Instructor”, as it is available to interested candidates regardless of whether or not a candidate holds a valid OCT Certificate. This position does not result in placement on the Occasional Teacher (OT) Roster.
 
If you are interested in becoming an Elementary Occasional Teacher and placed on our OT Roster, you would still need to apply and be successful through a separate hiring process. If you have already been invited/attended a YRDSB Elementary OT Interview, please be advised that the opportunity to work as an Emergency Elementary instructor is still available to you while your OT application is being processed.
