Looking for Volunteers to Participate in a Research Project

My name is Lauren D Turner and I’m a NOSM resident and research assistant working with Dr. Vicki Kristman in the Department of Health Sciences at Lakehead University. We are conducting a research project entitled “Burnout and Depression in Students”.

The purpose of this study is to examine the prevalence and associated factors of burnout and depression in medical and non-medical students. If you agree to participate in this study, you would be asked to complete some questionnaires online that ask you about certain attitudes, behaviours, and emotions. These questionnaires will take about 20 minutes to complete and are completely anonymous.

Participants must be either full time students at Lakehead or Laurentian University. For the purpose of the study, full time status is defined as either a 60% or more course load or at least 3 full course equivalents (FCE’s) over the fall and winter terms. Participation in the study is completely voluntary and participants relationship/academic status at their institution will not be affected whether they choose to participate or not.

If you’d like to learn more about the study and potentially participate, click here: https://lakeheadhs.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_4TTd3VmXIBYmMm2

If you have questions about the study please contact Lauren Turner at lauturner@nosm.ca
