Securing Your Ministry of Education Curriculum Documents - Before The Start of Classes

Ministry of Education Curriculum Documents - Why You Need Them

A number of your required Education classes during the B.Ed Professional Program make it mandatory for you to have a copy of the Ministry of Education’s standardized Elementary Curriculum Documents, which will serve as textbooks for a number of your courses.

These documents can be obtained at: www.serviceontario.ca, where you can download and save each PDF document to a PC or laptop.

The specific ministry documents of importance to each of you in our B.Ed Professional Programs, are:

  • The Arts (2009)
  • Health & Physical Education (2015)
  • The Kindergarten Program - Full Day Early Learning (2016)
  • Language (2006 revised)
  • Mathematics (2005 revised)
  • Science & Technology (2007)
  • Social Studies (2018)

You can download a PDF version of each  of the above curriculum document here: http://www.edu.gov.on.ca/eng/curriculum/elementary/subjects.html

You will also need:

If referring to a PDF from a PC or laptop doesn't work well for you, you may wish to download these curriculum documents to a USB stick, and take them into a local print shop to arrange to print them and have them bound as books, that you can use throughout the year.

These are documents crucial to some of your core courses while completing your B.Ed degree, so it is strongly recommended that you arrange to secure them anytime now, or throughout the balance of the summer - to ensure you are prepared for the first week of classes.
You will find these documents to be an invaluable resource during this program, and as additions to your own Educational Resource "Library".

We will be sure to keep you posted (via LU email) should any further curriculum documents be required, before Fall 2018.
