Protocol Education - Campus Visit Thursday November 5th, 2015 - Learn about Teaching Opportunities in the UK

Attention 1 Year B. Ed Professional Year Students,

A representative from Protocol Education will be on campus Thursday November 5th, 2015 to answer any questions you may have about teaching opportunities in the UK.
A Message From Protocol Education:
Time: 9:00 am to 4:00 pm

Date: Thursday November 5th

Dear Teacher Candidates,

Thinking of Travelling and Teaching Overseas?

Protocol Education is visiting the Lakehead University Orillia campus, and we will be setting up a table at Heritage Place from 9:00am to 4:00pm. This campus visit is intended to give you the opportunity to meet our Canadian based Consultants who have also had the opportunity to teach in the UK shortly after graduating from their Bachelor of Education programs.

Presently, many teachers may just be considering working in the UK as one of their options for the future. This is your chance to get some important information and get a first-hand account on teaching and living in the UK, and it’s a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

Come by the Student Commons at Heritage Place to find out more about how you can get your exciting adventure abroad started! Even if you are not graduating in 2016, it’s never too early to start gathering some information and plan ahead for your teaching career.

Venue: Heritage Place @ Lakehead University, Orillia Campus

If you’d like to contact us prior to the visit for more information, you are more than welcome to call us toll free at 1-877-562-3658 or email: mvelocci@protocol-education.com

Looking forward to meeting you all on November 5th!

What is Tribes?
Tribes is one of the most effective community building and cooperative learning strategies available today!

This workshop will provide teacher candidates with a model for establishing positive learning communities, as well as a framework for effective classroom management practices.

Candidates will experience how Tribes strategies can be used to deliver curriculum content and enable them to design powerful cooperative learning experiences.

This 24 hour TLC® basic experiential workshop will prepare you to use the “Tribes process” as the “foundation for transforming the school community environment to one in which teaching methods are effective in reaching and teaching students of and for today’s world”.

“Using multiple intelligence, brain compatible learning and cooperative methods, school and classroom climates and teacher attitude will begin to reflect the message of life-long learning, personal development and civic responsibility as the key to preventing alienation, anger and isolation”.

Many School Boards and Principals believe the workshop is very beneficial, and that the material taught is applicable to all classes.  As such, they consider it an asset when the Tribes workshop is listed on your Curriculum Vitae.

During the workshop, you also will receive a resource book that is yours to keep, and will make an excellent addition to your library.
