Summary:
The Residence Front Desk and Conference
Services Assistant will provide assistance and support to students and
conference guests and will be responsible for ensuring that front desk and/or conference
services operations are completed in an efficient, professional and timely
manner.
DUTIES:
· Provide 100% guest
service through all interactions with students and hotel guests
·
Reception - first
contact with incoming calls and person to person interactions
·
Assist guests with
reservations and reservation inquiries. Check in and check out guests/students
·
Communicate pertinent
shift information to team members both verbally and in writing via shift
reports - update as necessary
·
Responsible for a cash
float and following accurate daily transaction procedures in compliance with
the policies and payment procedures
·
Responsible for
accommodating all inquiries in an efficient and professional manner
·
Liaison between
guest/student and all departments
·
Responsible for
maintaining good communication between team members
·
Clean, organize, and
maintain front desk, lobby, etc. - perform all shift checklist responsibilities
·
Document all
maintenance related requests in the Work Order system and deliver to the
custodial supervisor in a timely manner
·
Event set-up/tear down
·
Event
hosting/organization
·
Limited travel to
community events within Simcoe County
·
Continental breakfast
management
·
Administrative duties
·
Perform other duties
as required or requested by management
REQUIREMENTS:
·
Good interpersonal
skills

Ability to work in a
courteous, tactful and patient manner
·
Prompt and regular
attendance.
·
Comply with
professional behavior and appearance standards
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
·
High School diploma
·
Customer service
experience required
·
Computer skills
required
