Letter For Your Hometown Police Service Location - Securing Your PRC/VSS Documentation

Good Afternoon Students of the B.Ed Professional Program (2015-2016),

We have been fielding a number of requests for the letter each B.Ed student needs, to take to their local Police Service location to request a Police Record Check (PRC) and Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS).

The previous email communication that outlined the instructions on how to complete the Online Placement Form, had this letter attached.

I am sending out the letter (attached to this email), for those of you who cannot locate that previous communication.

PLEASE DO NOT WAIT TOO LONG TO GET STARTED.

EACH POLICE DETACHMENT HAS VARYING TURNAROUND TIMES, AND WE DON'T WANT ANYONE TO HAVE THEIR PLACEMENT CANCELLED /DELAYED AS A RESULT OF OUTSTANDING DOCUMENTATION.

PLEASE NOTE:

Anyone who lives in the GTA must use the special application form (legal size paper) that was sent out in a separate communication. (email dated May 7th, 2015)Please follow those instructions very carefully.

Remember:

Every B.Ed Professional Program student is responsible for ensuring that they have a photocopy of their PRC/VSS results in a sealed envelope, ready for submission on the first day of class (September 8th, 2015). It is equally important to keep the original of these results in a safe place, until your placement begins.

All the best,

Julie
