What is Tribes?
Tribes is one of the most effective community building and cooperative learning strategies available today!

This workshop will provide teacher candidates with a model for establishing positive learning communities, as well as a framework for effective classroom management practices.

Candidates will experience how Tribes strategies can be used to deliver curriculum content and enable them to design powerful cooperative learning experiences.

This 24 hour TLC® basic experiential workshop will prepare you to use the “Tribes process” as the “foundation for transforming the school community environment to one in which teaching methods are effective in reaching and teaching students of and for today’s world”.

“Using multiple intelligence, brain compatible learning and cooperative methods, school and classroom climates and teacher attitude will begin to reflect the message of life-long learning, personal development and civic responsibility as the key to preventing alienation, anger and isolation”.

Many School Boards and Principals believe the workshop is very beneficial, and that the material taught is applicable to all classes.  As such, they consider it an asset when the Tribes workshop is listed on your Curriculum Vitae.

During the workshop, you also will receive a resource book that is yours to keep, and will make an excellent addition to your library.
