REMINDER: Required Documents for Placement (PRC/VSS and H&S Training)

This reminder is for both students who have confirmed placements & those who are still waiting for their placement details - and are missing required documentation for your Fall placement.  Please read carefully.

These documents are required for placement and may prevent you from proceeding to your placement, if not received before Nov 11, 2020

If you have been assigned to a different board other than what you had originally requested, please complete the training requirements for the newly assigned school board.
IMPORTANT: The Health & Safety training can wait until you are assigned to a school board however, you will not be able to start your placement without providing proof of its completion to the Faculty of Education.

Please carefully review and follow the instructions for your VSS submission and  Health & Safety training/additional requirements according to the Board Specific Instructions Health & Safety Training, VSS and TB Skin Test Requirements . Some boards have updated their requirements to include additional COVID-19 training/forms.   Many boards include the Health and Safety Awareness Training within their required training. Submission of the board-specific Worker Health and Safety Awareness training is also acceptable.

It is your responsibility to understand what documentation & training your school board requires of you.  We ask that all students keep your proof of completed H&S training in the front of your daybook.

Please submit any outstanding PRC/VSS reports and completed Worker Health and Safety Awareness Training certificate to Rosamaria Fabiano at rfabiano@lakeheadu.ca or Sarah McIsaac samcisaa@lakeheadu.ca.

As it is a very busy time for placement procurement for the department.
Due to the higher volume of emails, please expect delays in response to emails at this time.

Thank you for your continued support.
