Many of you will attend the B.Ed Professional Year Information Session held at the Orillia campus, in 2015.

April 25th, 2015 is the date set for all 2 Year Consecutive B.Ed applicants to attend.
You still have time to RSVP for this event.

Please RSVP here, if you would like to attend and have not yet indicated your interest: RSVP to Information Session - April 25th, 2015

This session is very important to your understanding and planning for Lakehead University’s B.Ed Professional Program.

If you plan on attending this session, you may choose to wait to complete your Online Placement Preference Application Form, until after you have attended the session and have had your individual questions addressed and to ensure your submission is accurate.

Every 2 Year B.Ed Professional Program applicant has until May 1st, 2015 to submit their
Online Placement Preference Application Form.

For those who cannot attend the information session, please review the PowerPoint presentation and contact us with any questions.

Entering Your Personal Information in the Online Placement Preference Application Form:
We would also ask that you have all of your personal information readily available when you complete the application form. (Birth-date, SIN, permanent address, phone number and name/number for your emergency contact)

This information must be entered accurately, as this information will be included in the data Lakehead University submits to the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) at the end of the school year, to formally recommend you to be certified to teach in the province of Ontario.

How Do I Review The PowerPoint Presentation?
We ask that each 2 Year Consecutive B.Ed Applicant review the PowerPoint on our website. We ask that each of you review the PowerPoint in its entirety, before submitting your preferences.

How To Access The Online Placement Preference Application Form:
All 2 Year Consecutive Students can access the Online Placement Preference Application Form by clicking here:  Professional Program Placement Preference Application Form

REMEMBER:
YOU ONLY GET ONE CHANCE TO VIEW THE ONLINE PLACEMENT APPLICATION FORM - SO DO NOT ACCESS IT UNTIL YOU ARE READY TO MAKE YOUR SELECTION.  IF YOU ATTEMPT TO ACCESS IT, TO SEE WHAT INFORMATION MAY BE REQUIRED OF YOU - YOU WILL NOT BE GRANTED ACCESS TO THE FORM AGAIN.

What Is A "Conflict Of Interest"?
·        The "Conflict of Interest" section on the placement form, please read this section carefully - it is asking you to identify schools where you currently have immediate relatives attending/working or schools you have worked, attended, volunteered, within the past 6 years.
·         DO NOT list your preferred schools in this section, the line that says "Name of School" is referring to the conflict school
·        Still not sure? Please contact us to clarify.
·        You will have the opportunity to list your preferred community or cities in the section where you select your preferred board choice, which is completed before you get to the conflict section.

Please be sure to check your Lakehead email account regularly over the summer months.
Details about your Username and Password for MyInfo and your LU email, would have been included in the Admissions documentation, when you received your Offer of Admission.
All important communications will be sent to your LU email inbox, and not to personal email accounts.  We encourage you to get familiar with the LU account, as soon as you can.

Many times we need to relay or ask for important information regarding your school board choice, during our placement preparations.

We look forward to seeing each of you on Tuesday September 8, 2015 for the first day of classes
